Quince 10 is a holiday lodge located just to the east of Ferndown in the Dorset countryside yet only a short drive to the sandy beaches of the area. Set in the Oakdene Forest Park, the facilities are truly outstanding. You will have access to an indoor heated pool with a 34m flume, an outdoor pool with water jets, a sauna, steam room and spa bath, fitness centre, bars, restaurants and entertainment. There is also pool, table tennis, amusements, aeroball, archery, a children's outdoor play area, balance bikes, gym classes and a host of activities that utilise the pools. On-site is a bakery and shop and lots of beautiful walks (26km of trailway) as the park is situated next to the Hurn Forest. For those that can tear themselves away, both Poole and Bournemouth are a short drive with a large choice of where to eat out, entertain yourselves or to sample the many sandy beaches that this stretch of the Dorset Coast offers. Within 20 miles is Paulton's Park, Peppa Pig World, The Tank Museum, Monkey World and Go Ape so something for all the family.
The accommodation at Quince 10 comprises of an open plan living area with Freeview TV, WiFi and plenty of comfy seating. The dining area seats six comfortably and the kitchen comes equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. The bedrooms are arranged as a king-size double with en-suite shower room and a twin. There is an additional shower room with shower, basin and toilet.
Outside is a decked area with furniture and shared grounds to explore. There is off road parking for two cars. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
Ringwood is on the Dorset/Hampshire border and stands on the western edge of the New Forset National Park. It is a historic market town and still has a lively market each Wednesday morning. The river Avon gently meanders through and there is a good choice of quaint and new shops as well as a good choice of pubs, restaurants and cafes.Read more
The annual New Forest and Hampshire County Show is held at the end of July for 3 days in Brockenhurst and features international show jumping, lots of animals, antiques, art and lots of food and drink. The New Forest Fairy Festival is held in August and celebrates all things magical. At the end of August is the New Forest Folf Festival, a four day extravaganza of all things folk.
The New Forest Wildlife Park is 25 acres of beautiful woodland and is home to all sorts of wildlife including otters, bison, wart hogs, wolves and lynx. A great way to enjoy nature. Keeping with the outdoor theme, Exbury Gardens is a spectacular 200 acre woodland garden famous for its rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias and is hugely colourful in Spring and Autumn. The Ringwood Brewery offers tours all year round taht includes a drink and there is a shop on site too if you have liked what you have consumed.
Moors Valley Country Park is a 1000 acre country park between Ringwood and St Leonards. It has woodland, heathland, grassland, lakes and rivers with trails to explore both on foot and by bike. The narrow gauge steam railway will take you on a mile ride but if that is too sedate then try the High Wire Adventure Course instead. For something more adrenaline filled try Matcham Karting which caters for ages from 8 years old and races in all different types of formats, from Grand Prix to Enduro.
