Beach Side is an appropriately named property in the popular area of Sandbanks. It has stunning sea views from the generous terrace and many of the rooms and is located just above the beach. There is a private path from the rear of the house leading to the promenade and the 3 miles of award winning golden, sandy beach that is shallow shelving and great for paddling or swimming for those with a stronger constitution. You are located on the eastern side of Sandbanks Peninsular and is ideal for accessing by foot the waterside bars and restaurants. There is a wealth of watersports in the area with many offering lessons so you can try kitesurfing, windsurfing, paddle boarding and water skiing. Alternatively, you can relax on the sand and watch the world go by.
The accommodation at Beach Side comprises of an entrance leading to a large hallway off of which is a cloakroom. The living space is open plan in an L shape with modern furniture with wall mounted Freeview TV with BT sport, a DVD player, Bluetooth speaker system and WiFi enabled throughout. Books and games are available as are leaflets about the area to help you explore and binoculars to explore the wildlife and passing ships and boats. Huge bifold doors lead out to the generous terrace and lets in huge amounts of light which allows maximum enjoyment of the sea views. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a four ring gas hob, double oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, wine fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a range or accessories and utensils. The dining area has panoramic views and has a table with seating for eight. There is a gas burning log fire in the chimney for those cosy winter breaks by the sea. There are two bedrooms on this floor, a double bedroom with sea views and a twin bedroom. A shower room rounds off the ground floor. The first floor houses the master bedroom with a super king size bed with sea views and a twin bedroom with sea views and en suite bathroom. There is a family area with seating and doors to the balcony which has a table and chairs. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet and hand basin.
Outside is a large terrace with plenty of outdoor furniture and a charcoal barbecue. It is a wonderful place to relax and watch the world go by. The is off road parking for three to four cars. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
At just 1 km², Sandbanks is most famous for the high property prices, the fourth most expensive area to live on the planet. Although small it is well worth a visit if staying in the area, or better still if you have managed to rent a home on the peninsula.Read more
Sandbanks beach is one of the best in the area with fine golden sand and has held a European Blue Flag for over 20 years. It gradually slopes into the water making it ideal for younger children and there are lifeguards on duty from May until September.
Now here is something you don't see every day or pretty much never. The British Beach Polo Champioships is an annual event in July held on Sandbanks beach. During the event there is also the Oakley Professional Beach Volleyball, 4 x 4/Polo Pony Charity Race and the famous Sandpolo Beach Parties.
Just behind the beach front lies both a crazy golf and mini folf course. During the summer months a min road train will take you up and down the promenade. As you would expect being a peninsular there are many water based activities available including inflatable fun in the form of Ringos and Broncos, kayaks, jet skis, paddle boards and lots more. Tuition in many watersports is also available as are tours of the area in both kayaks and on paddle boards.
Even though Sandbanks is a small area there are many choices of where to eat out. Highlights include the Harbour Heights Hotel, Haven Hotel, The Sandbanks Brasserie, The Jazz Cafe and The Beach Cafe.
