There are a large amount of eateries along the beach front so you will never be without choice.
The accommodation at 14 Fairwinds comprises of a light and airy living area benefiting from glass doors leading out to the furnished balcony. Furnished with two sofas seating four that turn into two single beds, a wall mounted electric fire place, 36” flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD and CD player. A cot and high chair are provided for family bookings. The dining area features a table and four chairs. The kitchen features an electric oven, hob, fridge freezer and washing machine as well as a range of appliances and utensils including a microwave, toaster, kettle and cafetiere.
Bedroom one has a king-size bed, fitted double wardrobes, chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets complete with lamps. Bedroom two has bunk beds, wardrobe and a bedside cabinet complete with lamp. The bathroom features a bath with shower over, wc, wash basin, mirror and shelving.
Outside, there is a furnished balcony complete with table and two chairs as well as communal gardens. There is off-street parking available for one car.
At just 1 km², Sandbanks is most famous for the high property prices, the fourth most expensive area to live on the planet. Although small it is well worth a visit if staying in the area, or better still if you have managed to rent a home on the peninsula.Read more
Sandbanks beach is one of the best in the area with fine golden sand and has held a European Blue Flag for over 20 years. It gradually slopes into the water making it ideal for younger children and there are lifeguards on duty from May until September.
Now here is something you don't see every day or pretty much never. The British Beach Polo Champioships is an annual event in July held on Sandbanks beach. During the event there is also the Oakley Professional Beach Volleyball, 4 x 4/Polo Pony Charity Race and the famous Sandpolo Beach Parties.
Just behind the beach front lies both a crazy golf and mini folf course. During the summer months a min road train will take you up and down the promenade. As you would expect being a peninsular there are many water based activities available including inflatable fun in the form of Ringos and Broncos, kayaks, jet skis, paddle boards and lots more. Tuition in many watersports is also available as are tours of the area in both kayaks and on paddle boards.
Even though Sandbanks is a small area there are many choices of where to eat out. Highlights include the Harbour Heights Hotel, Haven Hotel, The Sandbanks Brasserie, The Jazz Cafe and The Beach Cafe.
